– Basic Oils
Base oils are refined stocks essential for producing automotive and industrial lubricants, oils, greases, rubber products, and paraffin oils. Derived from crude oil, they have unique properties ideal for our customers, such as superior cooling, low-temperature performance, enhanced solubility, and stable emulsion-forming ability. Free from impurities, base oils serve as the foundation for all lubricants before additives or thickeners are blended in. They typically boil between 550°F and 1050°F and consist of hydrocarbons with 18 to 40 carbon atoms.
Packaging Options for Base Oils:
● 180 kg drums (new or used)
● ISO tanks
● Flexi tanks
● Bulk shipments
Common Base Oil Grades:
● SN 150
● SN 300
● SN 500
● SN 600
Types of Base Oils:
Virgin Oil:
- This is the most common type of oil used in lubrication products. It is a refined crude oil that has not been used yet, and once used, it is considered used oil.
Recycled Oil:
- Used oil can be recycled by filtering out insoluble impurities. While chemical contaminants remain, recycled oil can still be used as fuel or in non-critical systems. Reconditioned oil, a subcategory of recycled oil, is mixed with additives to extend its life but is generally only suitable for one-time use.
